Unlike traditional soft drinks, Milaf Cola is made using phosphoric acid, carbon dioxide, caffeine and dates instead of artificial sugar.
This drink is design for health-conscious peoples and now available in Saudi Arabia. Dates, often referred to as a “natural superfood” are the primary ingredient in Milaf Cola, which is said to offer a wide range of nutritional benefits, as promised by the producing country.
The beverage was inaugurated by Saudi Arabia’s Agriculture Minister Abdur Rahman Al Fadli and the the CEO of Thurath Al-Madina Company Bandar Al-Qahtani also with. The launch event took place during Riyadh’s Date Festival in November. The production of this drink has been undertaken by Thurath Al-Madina which is a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
Milaf Cola The First Soft Drink Made from Dates
According to the company, extensive research was conducted over many years to create Milaf Cola while adhering to all international food safety standards. The production focuses heavily on maintaining both taste and nutrition. The company is optimistic that the drink will gain significant popularity both locally and globally, especially given the enthusiastic response it received during the festival in Riyadh.
The producers have revealed that Milaf Cola is made using high-quality dates from Saudi Arabia. Compared to conventional soft drinks available in the market, it is expected to be much healthier and more nutritious.
In markets like Bangladesh, people often buy a variety of electrolyte or soft drinks, especially during the scorching summer months when demand for such beverages increases significantly. While several soft drinks have been introduced, many of them failed to create a lasting impact and were eventually withdrawn from the market.
Given Saudi Arabia’s hot climate, Milaf Cola is expected to resonate well with consumers in similar environments such as Bangladesh, where heatwaves are common during summer. However, there has been no official announcement regarding whether or when Milaf Cola will be available in the Bangladeshi market. Meanwhile, the drink is generating significant discussion on social media.
